Epic Recognized as a 2023 Best of Houzz Award Winner
Our team at Epic is thrilled to once again be recognized as a Best of Houzz Design Winner! Best of Houzz winners are chosen by the Houzz community of homeowners and design enthusiasts and recognized with the ultimate industry badge of honor.
We are proud that our basement renovation project has now received the Design Award for the past three years. The annual awards recognize home design and remodeling professionals who have earned praise in the Houzz community. But these awards are not just handed out to everyone. In fact, just 3% of the 2.5 million home design and remodeling professionals on Houzz receive a Best of Houzz award each year.
Epic Group has received a Best of Houzz award multiple times over the past 7 years. In addition to receiving the Best of Houzz award for Design in 2023, we also received it in 2022, 2021, 2019 and 2017, and a Best of Houzz award for Service in 2022, 2017, and 2016.
The centerpiece of the winning project is the amazing walk-in wine closet, which is a term used for a small wine cellar that holds fewer than 500 bottles of wine. This wine closet is passive, or not climate controlled, and therefore is built underground to reduce temperature swings.
And while the wine closet is the showstopper, the rest of the features in this project are what truly make it a basement project for the ages. The design has space for everyone, including a play area, bar area, a cozy fireplace, a TV watching area, and a full bath for overnight guests.
Obviously, we are very proud of this project, but we have to give credit where credit is due. The homeowner had a great design eye and was very talented in conveying the vision for the space and helping to create an amazing space for the entire family.
